About ME

Hi.

This website shows a selection of my commercial disciplines - Design and Illustration and also a selection of my photographs.

In Graphic Design, I believe logo and rebranding are my core strengths.

For Illustration, which was my specialism at University, I can cover most styles, from line work to watercolour, to printmaking and Adobe Illustrator.

In addition, I have experience in Design Thinking. I believe this is a natural step for me. I think diversely and have a strength in putting ideas together to create new connections. Design Thinking is an useful tool for strategy, design, product or business development. I have also had some training in Agile.

And here’s a bit about me…as a creative person…

I love drawing, design and typography.

I drew a house aged one. Then, I started drawing things when I was a toddler, not just on paper, but because I could walk, I drew in odd places, thinking the drawings would not be discovered, like on the underside of shelves and furniture, or a big smiley face drawn in biro - found on my pillow when the cover was removed.

This drawing still feeds my design from layout compositions to logo designs. It is also very useful when creating visual sketches or diagrams for communications. Luckily, my parents never minded my adventurous drawing, so I carried on, and later went to University to make it an official skill. So my work is public now and not so hidden...
